San Francisco DUers.....How cold is it?
Edited on Wed Jul-29-09 09:16 PM by marmar
I just talked to a friend of mine from Berkeley. He said he was in the City today, and it was colder than Dick Cheney's heart.

1. It's so cold that Todd Palin's pee froze on the electric fence before it had a chance to shock him

3. Not hot, not cold. Yahoo! says 66 but it feels warmer than that with the humidity.
Maybe he was in a windy corner of the city?

We've been fogged in for days, though.

8. Coming to join you Saturday!
Leaving tomorrow afternoon. Interview elsewhere in the Bay Area Friday. Not flying back 'til Sunday, so I thought I'd go up to The City Sat. Haven't been even as a tourist in something like fifteen years. Shame on me!

And it can't possibly be as cold as my office... :scared:

9. I am in Marin/Sonoma....
Perfect.

I can never understand why anyone would want to live in the City.

The only reason I go there is to get to the airport.

10. I believe it was Mark Twain who said...
"The coldest winter I ever spent, was the summer in San Francisco."
I live in the fog country. I am seriously considering getting a Kotatsu for my place.
A kotatsu is a low, wooden table frame covered by a futon, or heavy blanket, upon which a table top sits. Underneath is a heat source, often built into the table itself.

Kotatsu

This is best way to keep warm, having most of your lower body under the blanket to keep you warm. Fortunatley Fall is coming soon, and as most people know, this is our best weather. The sun is out and its fairly warm.

I will have to say, I would rather have the fog then 100 degree plus heat, like they have in the East Bay. However, at night, it sure gets cold and damp which creeps right into your bones.
