US Airways flight diverted after male passenger undresses in seat

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - A cross-country US Airways flight was diverted to Albuquerque after a male passenger removed his clothing mid-flight.

Dan Jiron, a spokesman for the Albuquerque airport, says 50-year-old Keith Wright of New York disrobed Tuesday while sitting in his seat in the back of the aircraft. He says Wright was unresponsive when a flight attendant asked him repeatedly to get dressed and refused to be covered with a blanket.

Jiron says law enforcement employees who were passengers on the plane helped subdue and handcuff Wright before the flight landed. The FBI says Wright is in federal custody on a charge of interfering with flight crew members and attendants.

A US Airways spokeswoman says the plane from North Carolina continued on to Los Angeles after Wright's arrest.

i'm only half joking. studies have shown that women, when presented with shadow figures, and asked to pick the one closest to their figure, err towards fatter and less fit figures, whereas men do the exact opposite (on average). they choose the shadows that are more muscular and thinner. iow, men's body image is more likely to be skewed as thinking they are all that and a bag of chips, and women more likely ot think they are fatter. as a former lifeguard on a nude beach (it was a tough job lol), i also noticed that hawt guys were much more likely to nude up than hawt women. of course, part of that might be do to fear of being ogled etc. but it was a nude beach for pete's sake. i occasionally went nude myself. cue: "shrinkage, Jerry" references...

19. My brother, fellow DUer The Casual Observer, was on that

flight. He was in row 25. The naked guy was in 28. He said when it became apparent what had happened, a flight attendant made an announcement calling for any off duty law enforcement personnel to come and assist. A couple of guys took over the duty of watching him until the flight made an unscheduled landing in Albuquerque, and he was escorted by local law enforcement off the plane through the back. Apparently he just stood up, took his clothes off, sat back down and didn't say a word. The woman across from him kept taking pictures until a flight attendant noticed and told her to stop.

After an hour and a half delay while the pilot completed paperwork, they were back in the air and on to LA. One of the flight attendants told my brother she's been flying for 25 years and that incident was "by far" the weirdest she's ever experienced.

other seats and just let him sit there. He was perfectly calm and co-operated when arrested in Albuquerque. They cuffed him before taking him off the plane - still naked.
