A component of my vision for reform that lowers costs and creates choice is the creation of a public health insurance option. This option would compete with private insurance plans to lower cost and would have access to an immediate network of doctors in Connecticut and across the country so that it can offer a complete and comprehensive insurance plan from its outset. Are you in favor of this type of public health insurance option?
