It's been a great year to be a Pittsburgher

Super Bowl champs.

Stanley Cup champs.

One of the few housing markets where prices are going UP.

One of the few areas that has avoided the worst of this recession (unemployment < 7% and City has a balanced budget).

The next G-20 is coming here.

Dan Rooney is named ambassador to Ireland.

Pennsylvania is the state that clinched the election for Obama.

Fellow 'Burghers.... how's it feel? First city to EVER hold the Vince Lombardi and Lord Stanley's Cup at the same time.

Anybody got a radio call of Mike Lange during the final seconds tonight?

1. Isn't Pittsburgh the same city that let that backwards B bitch off the hook with a mere
50 hours of community service?

2. Congratulations to the Pens and the great City of Pittsburgh
I never met a guy from The Burgh I didn't like. Too bad The Wings were tired tonight. Good for the Pens.

Last year we celebrated with the cup on your home ice. This year you got even. Enjoy! you deserve it.

We're bummed, but can't be greedy....4 Stanley Cups in 8 years...not too shabby. See ya next year.

6. Yeah, but they're even doing better this year.
Not going to be World Series contenders or anything, but they don't suck as bad as they usuallly do. Which is something, at least. :-)

5. Yes!
I am very proud of my city right now - the sports are the least of it, although I am a big Steelers fan. Pittsburgh is a rising star in an otherwise sinking country.

You also forgot being named "Best Place In US To Live" by several institutions over the last couple of years.

7. It was a great game tonight
Hockey is the one sport I enjoy watching. And this was one heck of a great end to the season.

10. The Cardinals played a good game...
and if they are a really good team, they'll soon have another chance to win the Super Bowl.

The Steelers, have had a really good football team for decades.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They are currently a member of the North Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League. Founded in 1933, Pittsburgh has won more Super Bowl titles (6), won more AFC Championship Games (7) and hosted more conference championship games (10) than any other AFC or NFC team. They have played in more AFC conference championship games than any other team and are tied with the Dallas Cowboys with 14 championship game appearances in either the NFC or AFC contests. The Steelers are the current National Football League champions, having won Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009.

I understand your pride in the Cardinals. I have a lot of pride in the Steelers.

I would never insult your team. But I hope you forgive me for pointing out that they ended up as second place winners.
