Short dispatch (no photos - Verizon Broadband down)
I spent the evening putting my linear regression for x=vertical angle y=distance (to solve the y=mx+b equation) in Excel 2007. Makes me feel like Ned the Nerd, but is really enjoyable. Sitting down to the task of learning Excel 2007, learning it through the online tutorials, and then applying it successfully to something fairly useful. The ranger headshed is impressed that I am doing this.

They pay $2500/year/computer for DragonPlot (your tax $$$S). We are calling my little cheapy version NickPlot. Tomorrow I'll work up NickPlots for all the wedges (to account for delta terrain slopes): NickPlotNE; NickPlotNNW; NickPlot270-280, etc.

Mapped lightening strikes again today. Tomorrow is forecast to be worse. Friday badder still!

That's it for now. Bed time.

2. Jeez, I could never do that job! I hated maths in school! Even if a machine did it for me,
I'd probably screw it up. I have no idea how I faked my way through all those statistics classes in uni!!!

Stay safe, don't get hit by lightening!

3. My little program gets away from the trig (oops, isn't that a Sarah Palin child?) ..
I prefer straight algebra or calculus. I hate trigonometry.

4. I know one was a Trip and the other a Trig--I think the Trip was the daughter's trip up!
They wouldn't be any help figuring how far away something is--after all, you can't say something's ten times further than you could toss a baby, they'd come after ya for being abusive!

I hope you'll bring your camera and put up some more pics when you get a chance! What's the weather like? Seen any fires, or is it damp?
