Something Tells Me We Can't Trust Rushbo on Sotomayor
Call it intuition, call it a hunch...

...but I can't get over this nagging feeling that The Fetid One has something up his sleeve.

CNN reports:

A week after calling Sonia Sotomayor a "racist" in reference to her 2001 "wise Latina" remarks, conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday he's now open to supporting President Obama's Supreme Court nominee.

"I can see a possibility of supporting this nomination if I can be convinced that she does have a sensibility toward life in a legal sense," Limbaugh said on his radio program.

Limbaugh's statement comes the same day former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who himself derided Sotomayor as a "racist" last week, wrote in an op-ed that he regretted his choice of words.

On his show Wednesday, Limbaugh said his potential support of Sotomayor stems from the nominee's unclear stance on abortion coupled with the fact that she is a Catholic.

"I don't know that it will ever happen, but if you know, the opportunity to get somebody like her, she's a Catholic, she's a devout Catholic, she's a Hispanic Catholic, Puerto Rican, they tend to be devout, she hasn't got a record on this. Normally liberals do have a record," Limbaugh said.

The sound of a pig before slaughter. Render yourself unto bacon, Rush.

2. I believe you're right.
It seems like they're pulling a reverse psychology thing in order to make some on the left think maybe she will be anti-choice, in an attempt to turn pro-choice liberals against her. They kind of like riling up us lefties against our own, and it ain't that hard to do. It's wise not to trust anything that comes out of Rush's vile mouth as it is.

3. More Double Talk and Logical Inconsistencies From the Right
Gotta love how Rush is speaking out of both sides of his mouth here:

1. On the one hand, in order to appease the righties, she must follow the rule of law, which includes the "penumbra of rights" created by the Bill of Rights know as the right to privacy and the precedential case law known as Roe v. Wade. Stare decisis. And let's not forget the 14th Amendment and the hotbutton issue of same-sex marriage.

2. On the other hand, because she's a "devout Catholic," she will help them overturn Roe v. Wade and prevent same-sex marriage by basing her decisions not on the rule of law, but on a desire to force all Americans to adhere to Catholic/Christian dogma and the tenets set forth by the church.
