1. The left needs to stay strong on this one
Bastards like Baucus and the Republicans make me want to, well never mind, but WE need to demand a public option. If it kills the insurance companies, so the fuck what.

You know, it pisses me off that they always talk to and about the left as if we were fucking children. I am personally smarter than 4/5ths of the sons of bitches that walk the halls of congress and I have a shitload more morals and love for my fellow man. BASTARDS! I am not interested in a compromise. Compromise means shit doesn't get done, and we need healthcare to get done and done right this time.

2. they don't mean the workers in the industry, either; it's already obvious from
the various bailouts & bankruptcies that the workers aren't their concern.

they means "the owners would be devasted".

And I say screw the owners.

9. As far as I am concerned they can die a slow painful death,
just like a lot of the people that they denied coverage or priced out of their market.

10. The insurance industry can go the way of auto companies.
Edited on Wed Jun-03-09 03:41 PM by Festivito
Massive layoffs. Product lines cut, factories closed.

Talk about an industry that has "made mistakes." Fine, down they go.

People want to buy foreign cars, well, let's have them buy foreign health care as well. Put hospitals out of business.

Or, we could hire all those people who worked keeping people from getting health care and give them minimum wages to greet people at emergency rooms helping the sick INTO the hospitals.

11. With apologies to the workers in that industry ...
Fuck the insurance companies.

Every American can't go on suffering with the industrialized world's worst health care just so some investors can get richer.

Fuck 'em.

The displacement of workers in those industries IS a real problem, but not so much that we should just go on shooting ourselves in the foot forever.
