Don't know why this needs to be said. It appears he had a political agenda. He shot and killed one stranger and wounded another for political reasons.

He's a terrorist influenced by the same Religious extremism.

4. I see
If that turns out to be true, I agree with your OP. Religious devotion of whatever stripe is no excuse for violence.

5. Arkansas
Two young soldiers straight out of boot camp were shot by a drive by shooting. The man in custody is a convert to Islam who appears to have committed the crime inspired by extreme beliefs.

9. Was he part of an active, organized, well-funded movement within the US?
Because that's an important part of the significance of Roeder.

11. ..if his motive was political/religious
..then indeed Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad is a domestic terrorist.. and I have read newstories referring to him as such.. Roeder too is a domestic terrorist, but I have yet to read any mainstream news source call Roeder a terrorist.. not that I'm surprised.. disgusted, but not surprised..

12. Both are bad but this implication is that the soldier killer is worse
and is branded a terrorist , yet a political stand made by murdering a Doctor who defends women's rights isn't terrorism. Because women's ability to choose isn't as important as the military! This makes me so angry! Both should be labeled "terrorists".

13. Yep, two acts of domestic terrorism in two days
No argument from me. I waited to find out if it was gang related, but from everything reported so far, it sounds like another act of domestic terrorism.

15. We'll learn more in a few days
The fact is that the Islamic extremist are being monitored and actively pursued more in this country, so your less likely to see a hateful rant on the internet calling for the killing of US Soldiers.
