And it may be more than one word?

2. Cynical
I supported Obama and will continue to do so, but I am by nature a cynic. It's not a great way to think, but at 51 years old, I've seen and done too much to think otherwise.

5. I gave up ..........
I watch it all with interest, but my heart and checkbook are no longer in any of it.

Honestly, I think we're doomed, so it's just a matter of deck chairs and Titanic...................

7. Servile
Politicians don't care one whit about what *I* think or say. I'm middle/lower-middle class. Didn't get any tax breaks, yet me and my children will have to bear the burden of all of the politicians excess spending.

The wealthy who got the tax breaks - WHICH WERE HUGE - could give 1/2 of them back to the politician as a contribution and still walk away with a small fortune in their pocket. The 'tax breaks' brought the wealthy "money & influence" without really taking one thin dime out of their own pocket!

The rest of us....we're just "white trash" (or whatever your color) and we are being used and abused. Servile!

9. FRUSTRATED
They won't do what they promise to do.

They don't pay attention to what the voters want.

They all seem to be corrupt, with a few exceptions.

They are more interested in putting on a show for everyone than doing what's right.

11. I'm starting to think
politics is all a shell game and both parties are really the same after all. No one seems to want to do ANYTHING about ANY issues that are important to me - and I'm not talking about obscure crazy stuff. I'm talking about stopping outsourcing, stopping illegal immigration, kicking alternative energy into high gear, controlling the debt. . . . . . . .

13. Other - it's an exercise in futility. We are nothing but herd animals to the Political Class.
Politicians compete for the biggest herd, but it has nothing to do with whose interests the politicians actually serve.

14. (Very) Disappointed. Especially on health care.
I don't know what I expected... well, actually I do. I really thought that after 8 years of hell, we could hope again. I thought Obama would come in and make good on his promises. I knew it wouldn't be easy, and it wouldn't be immediately, but that steady progress would be made.

And here we are, with health care still looking unlikely, we are still bogged down in Iraq and escalating Afghanistan, and the Sec. of Education is anti-union and not even an educator. (I'm not even sure he supports public education.)

I will give him props on the stimulus money. I do appreciate it, but wonder if it's going to cost me something down the road?

15. We live in a post-Democracy...
.. our government is owned outright by the banking bloc and other big business interests.

The military-industrial complex has reached a level of sophistication that Eisenhower could not have imagined in his worst nightmare.

I don't see anything on the horizon that is going to change things. Maybe when the economy fails completely people will awaken from their stupor and throw the bastards out.
