It will make them look foolish and weak. Like it or not,Democrats won a bunch of elections and now responsible for the safety and security of this country. We have huge majorities in the Congress and have the White House, if there is an attack on America the Democrats in power should be held accountable and expected to react, it is their responsibility.

Of course it really doesn't help that the right can point to 7 years of no major domestic attacks and they will say it is because we were taking the fight to them in Iraq and Afghanistan.
