An important point missed on Joey Scar's Torture Party hate fest this morning...
I posted a brief synopsis of what happened this morning as Dead Intern Joe and Rudy Guilliani miserably failed in their attempt to gang up on and smack-down Bob Shrum.

Here is the link...

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=5682135&mesg_id=5682299

Now here is what is fascinating to me, and hopefully Joey Scar will be dragged before some hearings soon, too. As always, at least several times per show, Joey Scar can't resist the urge to bloviate about his days in Congress, and how he knew everything and he was a great leader. But I think he might have stepped in it this time, at least, if we can bring his words to the attention of the proper authorities. While trying to smack-down Shrum, Joe made the argument that he KNEW what was in the still-classified CIA torture memos, because he "knows people." He insisted "the truth will come out," he was certain of it, because he had inside information.

Now wait a minute...Joey Scar is just a talk-show host. He's not a Congressman anymore. He's a nobody, legally speaking. How the hell does Joe Scarborough have inside information on still-classified government documents? He claimed to have a friend in the CIA...so someone is leaking classified information to a talk show host? To what end? Doesn't this make Joe Scar some sort of accessory to a crime or something? Doesn't he need to come clean about who is "friend" is that is leaking classified government secrets to the media?

After all, isn't America's security at stake here? And Joey Scar is cavalierly bragging about his "inside information" on national television! I think I need to CC a copy of these posts to some people who might want to look into what Joe knows and from whom he got his scoop. Could be interesting.

1. I have stated that the press knew all the time about the torture and
sat on the story.

2. I don't follow these talking idiots' shows, but perhaps a note to KO or Rachel would help.
I was going to recommend an email campaign to whatever station Joe is on, asking them why he's blathering about classified security documents, but doubt they'd respond at all.

3. I'd send a complaint to Pennetta and the DOJ, criminal division
and the FBI, and ask them to consider investigating his claims that someone in the CIA is leaking classified information to him.

Include the particulars about the date and time of his show (a link if it is on line or even a recorded copy on CD).

Yes, he is the media and can keep his sources secret, but those sources will dry up fast if they find out that his mouthing off has put them in danger of being discovered and prosecuted for the leaks.

10. He can claim he is a journalist
"cable news host" - just like Charlie Gibson, Diane Sawyer, Matt Lauer and the rest of the news program crowd claim to be journalists.

4. K & R --- If There Is Someone At The CIA Leaking Classified Info To Talk Show Hosts......
we need to find out who that is. Put Joe the Scar before Congress to get him to fess up. If he refuses to divulge the leaker - put Joe the Scar in jail till he does. This is outrageous. It's time we put a stop to this crap and people like Joe the Scar that claim to have all the answers. Put up or shut up Joe. Maybe Keith should offer Joe money to give up the CIA leaker - just like Keith is offering Hannity money to get waterboarded. Maybe that would silence Joe the Scar.

11. Joe and Rudy, as usual, missed the real point
Joe kept blathering about how liberals want to coddle the terrorists and care more about terrorists than our hard-working CIA men and women. The point the right always misses about the torture issue is that this is about Americans, not terrorists. We liberals don't want to coddle prisoners. We want to preserve our American ideals. No less than the father of our country admonished to "treat prisoners with dignity". It's about us. Not them. It's about the rule of law. We want this for us. We're a nation of laws.
Joe: It's not about "coddling" anyone. It's about being strong enough to treat people with humanity. If you want to take the Christian view, which you so often do, then look at the issue this way -- that which you do to the least of these, you do to me.
No, we don't want to torture people. But it's not because we're "weak". It's because we're strong. We adhere to principles even in the wake of the worst attack on our nation.
Is the right unwilling, or unable, to recognize what is really at stake here?

Certainly sounds on its face like a crime was committed, possibly indictable as espionage.

14. I sent a copy of this post, and a link to the other, to various MSNBC addresses
I didn't have time to find official govt e-mails, but I gave the full run-down to Joey Scar's bosses...including the opening reference to him as "Dead Intern Joe." I meant to edit that line out, but the MSNBC mail window was so small, I missed it before I hit send.

So what...screw him. This is actually some serious shit when you think about it. Here is a talk show host accusing the Speaker of the House of all sorts of terrible things, while claiming that he is being fed classified documents by the very same CIA people he is trying to protect.

This stinks to high heaven, and we need to work it.
