Still waiting for proof that privatization, deregulation and out-sourcing government oversight really works in the best interests of 99% Americans. I know it does for the 1% at the highest income levels. Its like the other 99% are being punished for not being ultra-rich. Why do we let them keep taking the money we save for retirement and pay taxes and give it to huge corporations who blow it on lifestyle choices, only to have these scoundrels be repaid by the treasury we create with the taxes we pay? Then, they take the bailout money and hire lobbyists who bribe congress to de-regulate their businesses and the cycle starts again. The health care "reform" life cycle is starting now.

Isn't anyone boiling over red hot pitch fork angry? Or is it just so uncool to be angry we'd rather have our eyes picked out by vultures than get angry and actively defend our modest standard of living? Never mind, I know the answer.

Its like the election simply accelerated a type of political/cultural entropy. In general, entropy can be thought of the process by which energy is spread from higher energy states to lower energy states (e.g. heat flowing from something hot to something cold). Lately we are seeing a consequence of this law that states cash and standard of living (potential energy preserved by an individuals hard work) will always have a tendency to flow or spread to a lower energy state (torturers, lobbyists, politicians, middle men like investment bakers).

Here is another example of entropy: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4894033/
A subject might have information (consider it a type of energy). An interrogator is trying to access this information. He decides to release the energy by hitting the subject in the face repeatedly with the broom stick and violently inserting it in the person's rectum until this person says something that the interrogator wants to hear. The interrogator successfully releases the subjects energy in the form of screams, spasms, blood and at the same time the subject tests a variety of vocalizations in an effort to prevent so much energy from being release that he dies. But the energy released is in a form that is considered waste energy. Unfortunately the interrogator doesn't understand the physics very well, and doesn't understand that the information energy was converted to a less useful form.

Lawyers attempt to limit the amount of waste energy by writing legally binding opinions on how far the broom stick can be inserted in a rectum before it can be considered a risk of death (thus wasting all energy). Of course, a skilled interrogator can release useful information without resorting to genital electrocution and/or simulated drownings of the subject. All of these techniques result in massive amount of waste energy from both the interrogator and the subject.

Torture is inherently not a "green" technology. Many people don't realize how much waste energy is exhausted in the process. They need proof and examples. However, this involves a transfer of energy from CIA to the public at large. However, the CIA (being at an energy state lower than most other objects) can never transfer energy from itself to a higher energy form. It can only consume energy. However, there are machines that can help push out energy from lower states to higher states (e.g. air conditioner). So, far however, every attempt at this process with CIA has failed. When it comes to entropy in a closed system, it would seem they rest near absolute zero.

On edit - "with our" to "without", grammar (which is just about hopeless)
