Higher profits are better than lower taxes!
They're are better ways to increase your bottom line than just cutting taxes.

Just say you're getting taxed 30%.

Then you get a 10% tax break.

Your effective bottom end increase is just 3%.

Would it not have been wiser/easier to increase your income (be it in profit or wages) by 3%?

Focusing on taxes to increase our bottom lines is myopic, unhealthy and backward looking.

1. my tax guy is always talking about some of his neanderthal clients who think
it better to make 10,000 and pay no taxes than to make 20,000 and pay 15% in taxes.

He says "It's like they can't do simple math."

Also known as "penny wise and pound foolish."
