I was talking to a relative of mine, she works in a drug rehab unit.
And having worked there for over 30 years, she's seen just about everything.

One thing she told me about, people who abuse prescription opiates, (pain pills,) have two major indications of their abuse.
A tendency to say whatever just "pops" into their heads, no matter how illogical or simply false it is, and an exaggerated sense of self-importance.

Now what radio talk show host do you think my relative was thinking of? ;-)

because it's so difficult to break through the twin rationalizations of "It's a prescription" (from 6 different doctors) and "I can afford it, I'm not like those people!"
