Explain the difference to me ...
... between corporations hiding their taxes offshore and insurance companies denying coverage.

They seem to be about corporations trying to find ways to keep their chief executive sociopath swimming in money by insuring the corporation avoids any responsibilities.

Now that I think of it, it's not just one corporation that's doing it. Entire industries are doing it.

Aren't both these examples of an industry manipulating the law to reverse regulations that were created to prevent those very manipulations?

Something about this whole thing makes me wonder if anti-trust laws aren't applicable in some fashion.

1. By denying coverage, insurance companies keep cost down.
They probably hide profit off shore, too.

2. I doubt they would pass up a chance to raise prices.
But, yeah, you're right, they probably hide offshore too.

3. well, both are exploiting legal loopholes, but one is being merely unethical
and the other is committing barely legal fraud.
