~** ATTN: MEDIA **~ Movement Conservatives invented the term "Activist Judges"
Please Please Please remember that when you talk about Obama's first Supreme Court pick.

They hated the role that the Supreme Court took in the breaking down of the Jim Crow segregationist South. They hated that the Court even acknowledged that the Law has real implication for JUSTICE in real life.

They would have you forget that Judges dispense Justice.

1. Anybody who THINKS a little realizes that the term "activist judge"
depends on whose ox is being gored. If the decision was what YOU wanted, they're interpreting the law! If the decision is something you oppose, they're activists! BOTH sides say the same stuff!

4. It was invented by the right, just like "welfare queens" and "pro-life."
And used almost exclusively by them.

When a liberal uses it, it's in an ironical fashion.

5. Have you TURNED on the TV today?. . .All the bobbleheads
have adopted it as a valid, legitimate designation. Some of this is deliberate, some of it is just plain brainless...

3. He needs to realize he's free to choose anyone because complaints from the right are inevitable...
and in that case, since they offer nothing in return, why bother to cut them any slack at all? They can only make so much noise, and they've already committed themselves to making that noise regardless.

8. I saw one conservative pundit say "activist judges" that will use the courts to "social engineer "
the people (or something like that). Social engineering is something that the GOP does like when they thought they could blame the people who stayed behind during Katrina and America would follow in not giving any sympathy to those who were too poor to leave.

Anyhow. Watch those words "social engineering" to see how the GOP uses them. I think it is a new meme.
