Bush Says Gonzales is "Honorable and Honest;" I say Bush is out of touch with reality!
So today, Bush said that Alberto Gonzales is "honorable and honest."

Dear Leader commented "He is providing documents for Congress to find the truth. He will testify in front of Congress. And he will tell the truth. I will remind you there is no credible evidence there has been any wrongdoing." (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070401/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/fired_prosecutors;_ylt=AsB8uWdbd55TTsbDSBnRpp6s0NUE)

So let me see if I've got this straight.

The very same man that helped Bush keep his DUI arrest quiet, when Bush was called for jury duty while Governor of Texas. That man is "honorable and honest" in Bush's opinion.

The very same man who failed to provide Bush with critical information (such as ineffective counsel, mitigating evidence, and actual evidence of a person's innocence) when Bush had to decide on clemency petitions as Governor of Texas. That man is "honorable and honest" in Bush's opinion.

The man who has lied about the depth of his role in the firing of 8 prosecutors for seemingly purely political reasons. That man is "honorable and honest" in Bush's opinion.

Refreshing, isn't it, that Dear Leader has clarified for us, what he defines as being "honorable and honest."

2. He can't even SPELL those words
much less give their definitions. He knows less about "honorable and honest" than I can speak ancient Egyptian.

5. What does it mean to say an official is "honorable"?
Edited on Sat Mar-31-07 10:04 PM by Eric J in MN
Are some officials not "honorable"?

I'd like it if anyone publicly declaring an official "honorable" mentioned a few officials who are NOT "honorable," to help us understand what distinction he's making.

6. He's just backing another loser cause.
The Chimp has pretty much batted 1000 on the loser causes he has championed--Iraq, Gonzales. Kind of takes me back to the days when he couldn't run an oil business or a sports team. I guess the bellwether is if GWB favors it, it's got to be bad.

10. The New York Times printed an editorial a few years ago...
...describing top Bush Administration officials as "honorable men," in a piece generally critical of them.

I didn't understand then what was supposed to be "honorable" about them, and I don't understand how Alberto Gonzales is supposed to be "honorable" per Bush.

8. I say consider the source
What would a low character born to a high place know about homorable or honest, any way?

9. If he is honest and honorable with Bush, then that makes him so
in the eyes of our glorious leader. Just because he falls below those standards when dealing with the rest of us proletariat matters not at all to the Bush.

11. But, but, but...you think you're honorable too, dontcha Shrub?
Shrub seems to believe anyone whokisses his....is an honorable official! OK. I hope our dear "yard plant" (shrub) joins Brownie, Ashcroft, O'Neil, Fleicher, etc. They all seem to be enjoying retirement.

13. having never been honorable nor honest,
I would imagine it would be difficult for der chimpenfuhrer to know just what, exactly, makes one honorable and/or honest.

14. I am convinced that Bush is in a class that has their own reality.
I believe they live in a bubble. like when Laura Bush says that there are lots of quiet areas in Iraq and you only hear about the one bombing a day on the media. Rationalization is the key to happiness and these people in this rich elite class don't have the slightest idea what life in the trenches really is. They have never had to work for anything in their lives. They have no feeling for the thousands of the lower class that give their lives for their country. Let us eat cake George.

It is time for tea in the harbor.

15. From Bush's mouth, those adjectives are completely arbitrary.
He might just as easily have insisted that the Attorney General is "handsome."

Or "distractable."

Just fill in the blank with any adjective you want.

The Attorney General is goal-driven.

The Attorney General is mediagenic.

The Attorney General is circuitous.

Or reticent. Or Jesus-centered. Sun-burnt. Wolf-like. Sycophantic. Pussy-whipped. Blow-dried. Deep-fried. Moody. Demon-controlled. Water-logged. Disreputable. Gravy-stained.

Just about any word works out of Bush's mouth because nothing he says makes sense, or if it does, it's probably untruthful.
