Gov. Rick Perry: Texas might have to secede.
Gov. Rick Perry: Texas might have to secede.

Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) was one of the dozens of Republican lawmakers who are addressing the anti-Obama tea parties today. He told the crowd he didn’t believe they were all “right-wing extremists,” as others had sought to portray them. “But if you are, I’m with you!” he shouted. After, he told reporters that Texas might have to secede from the union:

"Perry told reporters following his speech that Texans might get so frustrated with the government they would want to secede from the union.

“There’s absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know, who knows what might come out of that.” ... http://thinkprogress.org/2009/04/15/perry-texas-secession/

3. Might?
Yeah well, there are mites on a chicken's ass, too. I'm a Texan. We are not seceding, however, we will be replacing the governor in the next election. He knows it, too. So he blathers away.

5. I'm sure your border problems will surely subside then, Perry..
Hope no hurricanes come your way for the first, oh, 100 years or so.

The exodus of the non-toothless Texan will surely be a problem with your public coffers.

Anyway, enjoy! :hi:
