Tree memorial to dead troops becoming forest

http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/01/26/grief.grove.ap/index.html

Fort Stewart's Warriors Walk is running out of space for memorial trees
• Grove began with 34 redbuds, now has 318
• Latest to be honored served extra term so comrade could stay with newborn
• Commander: Walk "strengthens our resolve ... to fight this global war on terrorism"

1. My nephew was stationed at Ft. Stewart for awhile.
I can tell you that he definitely doesn't share that commander's feelings. He came back home over Christmas, so we got to spend some time with him. He's the one who had temporary paralysis either from a bad doc doing the spinal taps for menningitis or a bad reaction to the vaccines he had just received. He's done his schooling now (communications) and he found out he will be sent to Fort Knox. I'm leaning toward the vaccine idea since apparently he's still under a docs care and testing now because he has inflamation to all his joints. He's on restricted activity, anti-inflamatories and pain-killers. With this "surge", our family is thinking his medical issues (though of concern) have been a blessing in disguise.
