4. All of these books are such jokes--you can tell just from reading the blurbs

but I am grateful to know the story behind Billo's latest title:

"One day I blurted out some dumb remark, and Sister Lurana was on me like a panther. Her black habit blocked out all distractions as she leaned down, looked me in the eye, and uttered words I have never forgotten: 'William, you are a bold, fresh piece of humanity.'"

So, there you have it, folks. Sister Lurana obviously wanted to describe Billo as a bold, fresh piece of something else--but being a nun, she could not do so. So, she changed her term to "humanity."

Sister Lurana obviously knew exactly what she was dealing with even then--and what the country would eventually be cursed to deal with as well.
