3. No, I just happened to think of this poll
Although maybe reading about the birthers influenced me without my being aware of it.

I would be interested in knowing about the citizenship makeup of DU. Just curiosity, inspired by my being a naturalized citizen rather than a natural-born one. I don't really expect to get a valid statistical picture from this poll, though. :)

2. I was born in Kenya
Edited on Thu Mar-19-09 12:35 PM by LuckyTheDog
But my parents were able hide that fact by placing birth announcements in Hawaiian newspapers and arranging for me to get a Hawaiian birth certificate. They did all that because their plan was to raise me Manchurian-candidate style to grow up, become president and destroy everything that is good and decent about America.

At least that was the plan. But than Barack Obama got elected and now I am re-thinking my objectives. Maybe America isn't so bad, afterall.

:silly:

On edit: Seriously... I was born in Indiana.

11. That would qualify as born in the USA, wouldn't it?
Or is hatched different from born? I've never thought about that. The online dictionary I just checked isn't clear.

16. Good point. But
aren't they legally considered natural-born citizens?

I should have included something like "Natural-born citizen, but not born in the USA." That would cover all babies born abroad but considered US citizens at birth.
