Trying to move the electorate back to the right.....
Sometimes I get the feeling that the real tragedy resulting from the Bush administration is that those in Washington are not comfortable with the country's rejection of the rights agenda. The electorate at large has vastly moved to the left of their elected officials in Washington. It's really amazing to watch them all panic since the election result.

Crap!!! Even the Republicans have to run against their own far right wing party.

We often hear about "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" when it comes to Democratic Party successes. I often get the feeling that the powers that be would rather this supposed Liberal party stand for nothing and remain on the fringes. A lot of that resulting from guys like Bayh, Emmanuel and the rest of the crowd.

I'd like to say that Obama is pinched and this is all against his will but it doesn't seem so anymore. In America we have a far right extremist party (Republicans) and a center right counter balance party (the Democrats). There really is no left in Washington whasoever. Even Sanders has become a moderate. The only real left we have left is Kucinich and one wonders if he takes what he does seriously.
