Bill Maher vs. Ann Coulter

Last night they debated at some venue in NYC. I haven't been able to find any info on it nor any youtube videos yet. Any NYC DU'ers attend and, if so, can you fill us in?

They were sold out 2 weeks ago for the nosebleed section.

He lust's after her like a horny chihuahua and a leg. Every time she is on his show, all he does is kiss her ass. I guess they got together to figure out how to make a little money off of it...

She was on PI a lot on ABC, but I don't ever recall seeing her as a guest on Real Time.

what he thought. But he is extremely right wing and he thinks Coulter is the perfect woman, so I may not even bother to ask.

5. Too bad Maher never prepares himself beyond his talking points.

All one has to do to win a debate against Maher is to change the direction of the conversation or throw out a bogus statistic or two. He's got no depth of knowledge on anything, so he allows easily destroyed talking points to go unchallenged. It's a major frustration to watch his TV show for this reason.

“Overnight, the media went from being watchdogs for the people to guard dogs for the government. That’s with the exception of Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann, who are lapdogs of the government,” she said.

“Time magazine got the ball rolling by comparing Obama to Jesus Christ,” Coulter said moments later. “So I lost a bet: They do know who Jesus Christ is.”

Coulter riffed on the media’s comparisons of Obama not only to Jesus, but also to Lincoln, asking: “Did Lincoln do blow mostly in high school or did he wait until college?”

That’s where Maher picked up when he got his 15-minute shot.

“To start off, George Bush did a lot more blow than Obama ever did,” Maher said. “Please don’t ruin the only thing I like about him.”
