Connecticut Residents, Boycott WTIC 1080 AM Radio
Back in December WTIC 1080 AM dropped the Colin McEnroe show due to budget cuts. During weekdays morning from 9:00 AM - to 12:00PM Jim Vicevich, a local right winger has a call in talk show bashing liberals non stop. From noon to three Rush Limbaugh is on. From three to seven its nothing but news and then Sean Hannity comes on at night til Coast to Coast AM comes on. With Colin it at least had some balance. If they had to drop anyone for budget cuts why not the morning right winger? I have emailed the station twice simply asking why they have not filled the slot with a liberal voice. None of my emails have been returned.

Can anyone suggest what I can do? I use to love listening on the way home to Colin and listen to rational thinking. I was satisfied even though most the programming was right wing talk radio. I feel like just keeping quiet is getting me nowhere.

4. What sucks is
I see Jim Vicevich all over town. At Starbucks, the gas station, Barnes and Noble, everywhere! He is always hitting on teenage/high school girls. Creepy perv! Really wish the fairness doctrine was in effect. The station has been corporate for years so it's not really surprising to see them kiss GOP ass.Still, I would like to do something if I can!

5. I can't listen to talk radio - even when it's liberal talk
That format - five minutes of talk followed by two minutes of commercials and then repeated - is absolutely unlistenable for me. Even XM/Sirius has far too many interruptions for my taste.

7. Angry
GOP Men!!! Doesn't that sound unfair to have a station play ONLY conservative talk radio? DO their sponsors assume EVERYONE is conservative? Is it good business to cater to just one side politically? It really makes me angry!
