Yeah, I know that sounds silly, but think about it. Most folks when they are nervous or scared change their breathing patterns--they either breathe rapidly and shallowly or hold their breath! If you can mentally count even inbreaths and outbreaths (I do 4 in 4 out), you'll find yourself becoming calmer and feeling more in control of the situation!
