The DoJ, probably more than any other agency extent, is shot through with Chimpy's burrowed-in apparatchiki. You can bet that a lot of this is based upon false information and personal initiative of these burrowers.
Holder has been in what? 6 weeks? How can one man and his advisors even begin to address the utter, sere wreckage at the DoJ in that time?
Personally, I think there is a lot more to come and I do not think that the president played any substantive role in this pleading, or did Holder. But that said, we should never let up on holding this administration's feet closely to the fire. Or any administration's, for that matter. Complacency is our greatest enemy. The last 30 years of "The National Naptime" and the results of same surely have taught us that.
