A Rhetorical Question...Funny Line From a Song
Edited on Sun Mar-01-09 12:09 AM by The Unknown Derelict
Curious...just like Shock-G of digital underground once questioned on his song "We're All Killaz" from his album "Fear of a Mixed Planet":

"If we need a license to drive or go fishing, how come to start a family all you need is a di*k?"

Funny song, it's full of rhetorical questions like that, lol.

Check it out...it's on ITunes and Amazon.

2. That's true...but I think it's not a 'literal' question in itself...
Edited on Sun Mar-01-09 12:19 AM by The Unknown Derelict
I'm thinking the question is a little deeper than that, despite how funny it sounded to me.

I guess the main idea I took away from that line is how hypocritical a lot of things are. For instance, this whole banker/bonus fiasco, the self proclaimed party of Jesus and big business who call those in need "losers", cheese sandwiches, the mocking of those that are involved in community service, etc.

3. If the word "Family" had an opposite..
Edited on Sun Mar-01-09 01:03 AM by demwing
That would be the word for the type of values that Limbaugh Republicans hold.

If Family values are love, safety, acceptance, forgiveness, generosity, honor, sacrifice, and selflessness; then Republican values would be hatred, aggression, intolerance, judgmentalism, greed, dishonor, self-interest, and selfishness.
