The decline in the gross domestic product — a measure of a country’s total output of goods and services — in the last quarter of 2008 was the worst since the 1982 recession, and indicates that the recession has been deeper than previously believed.

1. can't blame the last eight years on President Obama.

2. It's well documented that the current recession officially started in December 2007.

That is well inside Bush's second term. And, most are smart enough to figure out that things are generally on a decline for months before the official start of a recession.

Since Obama wasn't in office during this time, it would be really difficult to try to say it was his fault, but I have no doubt they will try. The Dems just need to be wary of this, and slap them down when they tell lies.

What we have now has been a long time coming. And that period was under Bush's watch. Just like the warnings before 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, and all the other disasters that befell our nation while * was in charge.
