My "Not So Liberal" letter on the media is printed
Kind of disappointed I've only gotten 1 letter in the past few weeks, as I thought I've sent in some really good stuff...

Thankfully, this one where I got great info from Media Matters did make it:

Not So Liberal

A media watchdog group called Media Matters did an extensive study of the politics of the guests on the big Sunday morning political talk shows. Their findings were not surprising, but go a long ways toward debunking the myth of the media being liberal. In fact, this extensive study revealed just the opposite. Conservatives dominated the Sunday morning political talk shows, and were far more likely to be on without an opposing viewpoint. The rare Democrats on these shows were almost always accompanied by a Republican conservative to offer a counterpoint. Amazingly, this pattern stretches back for over a decade, and has continued despite the Democrats assuming control of Congress last November. It was also the same when Clinton was President. So, if you hear somebody complain about the so-called liberal media, you should know that the facts show differently.

1. "Know the facts show differently"
Tough job getting into the heads of the lemmings. I haven't been published much but the paper is publishing lots of letters of like minded people. I guess the editors don't like my gratuitous use of "worthless motherfuckers." And "bush ass sucking conservative morons who wave flags as if that's a brave, patriotic gesture." And "obviously gang raping the constitution is a conservative value." I'll try to tune it down a tad.

4. LMAO! That sounds like something I posted on Freerepublic and for some....
....strange reason, I was banned.
I think I hold the "World's Record" for being banned from that site.

It was something like 9.6 seconds.

6. it's a free weekly that covers most of eastern CT
From Enfield, East Windsor & East Hartford all the way out to Killingly & Plainfield down to Norwich... I think it's basically all of Joe Courtney's district.

You can read different editions online specific to various towns in the region by going to the main website: www.remindernet.com

Submissions to the Speak Out portion are anonymous - when I first moved into the area, I would sometimes get 3 or 4 per week into the paper...it was all Michael Moore bashing when I first moved there as "Fahrenheit 9/11" had just come out, so I hopefully balanced it out a bit.

7. I am also glad to see they printed your Media Matters one
GOPers will continue to say liberal media even if all Dems were banned from the airwaves.

But non-GOPers need to know that GOPers just keep spewing batshit.

8. Thanks
Republicans have been repeating the "liberal media" mantra for 35 years now... they've been so diligent at it that it has sunk into the national consciousness where many believe it to be true - even some Dems that are not very well informed.
