Edited on Mon Feb-23-09 12:52 PM by WI_DEM
How else would he think that if Ruth Bader Ginsburg leaves the U.S. Supreme Court it would be an opening for conservatives? The republicans have shown that they will go to all lengths to try and foil Obama. Unless they get somebody they can support they will filibuster. I hate them, but they have been threatening what Democrats were too timid to do when they were in the minority--use the fillibuster.

I say, President Obama nominate the best liberal you can find and dare them. I'm tired of the loser party trying to dictate to the majority.

2. Unfortunately, Bunning is an idiot, and has been beaned once too many times.
All of Obama's SC justice will be approved by a majority of 64-36 after a couple of Rethuglicans cross over like the Gang of 14. Payback's a bitch, but that's the deal, Jack.

4. well the only way we can get the gang of 14 is to nominate a centrist
I'd love to have an out and out liberal on the court again.

6. Let them filibuster
Let them spin on their backs, cry, and stomp. It's time to start standing up to Republicans.
