Will the Tillman's now file a civil suit?
That would seem to be the only alternative.

1. Why does a lawsuit seem to be the response of choice for
ALL problems in society these days?????

Will a lawsuit bring Pat Tillman back?

IIRC, he volunteered to go.

2. A very heartless, simplistic, selfish response. To blame the victim
is beyond pathetic and justifies the wrongdoing and the abuse that took place.

He DID NOT volunteer to be murdered by his own peers.

4. I thought it was "friendly fire" - I haven't heard he was murdered
deliberately. Did I miss something?

It's not "blame the victim". He is a victim of war. He died in the war in Iraq. These things happen. It's the nature of war.

8. There is much to be investigated into this "friendly fire". Many believe it was murder.
Too many questions that remain unanswered.

Why was his uniform immediately burned after his death?

Why did Pat's diary get confiscated never to appear again?

Take some time to do some more research and perhaps you'll understand why this needs further scrutiny.

there are many other questions that the Tillman's have, along with others who find too many questions and wholes in the 'official story'.

13. With all the other crap going on, I simply haven't had time to follow this.
I've got a full plate of controversy already.

5. "Friendly fire"
unfortunately accounts for a significant percentage of injuries and deaths in warfare.

3. It isn't about money
It's about holding people accountable; something one arm of the justice system failed to do.

That is my take as a progressive. Your take, I simply don't understand.

6. I guess I just don't get what a lawsuit would accomplish.
You CAN'T hold these people accountable. It's impossible. They do as they wish and there are never any consequences for them.

7. Guess I missed that in your first comments, seemed more like an indictment of those that would sue.

9. Mainly an indictment of those who are screaming that they should sue.

12. I guess I just don't get the need to keep stirring up bad feelings about
what happened.

If the family feels the need to sue, and there are legitimate grounds to do so, fine. But all the ranting and screaming just bothers me.

14. I can see how
the family would be angered by the way his being killed by friendly fire was covered up, in order to exploit his image. I don't think that people are ranting or screaming. It was a cold, heartless thing to do on the part of those who engaged in the lies.

16. Guess we should leave truth covered rather than create bad feeling, eh?
