Is there a better term for "infrastructure"?
Edited on Fri Feb-13-09 08:16 PM by Wetzelbill
It sounds kind of boring. I'd like to see it framed in a better more appealing way. Not necessarily in an Orwellian manner or anything, just in a way that sounds better. One thing we can learn from the GOP is how to frame our ideas better.

on edit:

It seems I like the word "better."

32. Yes and yes.
Bill is right, "infrastructure" DOES sound boring to the average person. It's also vague to them, and that assumes they have any idea of what it really means.

20. that sounds like a small park where people meet up...not roads and bridges and sewers and such...
i don't see why anyone would have a problem with 'infrastructure' in the first place, seeing as that's exactly what it is.

19. Go with it.
Robbie Robertson put it best:

"She said "There's one thing you've got to learn
Is not to be afraid of it."
I said "No, I like it, I like it, it's good."
She said "You like it now
But you'll learn to love is later."

Your wife and I are conspiring on facebook. You know, world domination that sort of thing. She makes Kurovski look like Gandhi. You have unleashed forces that are now beyond your control.

But at least you have that golden parachute cash to fall back on. :)

I think she's out to prove that Chicago-style politics got nothing on New York. She makes the same point about New York pizza.

14. How about that term "refurbished". Wouldn't something have to
be furbed first? I really don't care for that term... never seen anything furbed in my days on this planet.
