Electing Obama was just the beginning of the change we need. He asked us in his Inaugural Address to be active citizens. Contacting our Reps and Senators is a very painless thing for us to do. We shouldn't have to be asked to take this initiative on our own.



I just let my Repug Rep know how I felt, and also my MO Senators.

I also put a bug in Claire's ear that we need to get more Dems on tv to push the American Recovery and Reinvestment Bill--we are seeing too many Repug Obstructionists out there. Why they think the American public believes Repugs have any ideas to get us out of this mess, when they are the ones who got us INTO the MESS, is beyond me.
Of course, if the media repeats their sick mantra enough......

You make an excellent point about how the Repubs got us into this mess -- then we had an election -- the voters spoke and now the repubs want to ignore the voters and push their failed policies onto Americans AGAIN?

People are freezing to death. Starving. And these are not the "lazy" -- WWII vets, single mothers, hard working families, etc.

If we don't speak up in a more organized way, the only voices out there are the Rushites calling. That Gingrey guy from GA who apologized to Rush yesterday said he did so because he got so many angry calls from constituents.
