Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she will attend Alfalfa Club Dinner because of President Obama
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said she will attend an exclusive club dinner in Washington this weekend because it will offer her an audience with President Obama.

In an impromptu meeting with reporters Wednesday outside the governor's mansion, Palin also detailed reasons why she's started her own political action committee and laughed off suggestions that she's in line for an $11 million book deal.

Palin said she is participating in outside events, like this weekend's Alfalfa Club dinner, strictly to promote Alaska's interests as its governor.

"The Alfalfa dinner, yes, in fact that's because President Obama is scheduled to be there," Palin said. "And how often will I have an opportunity to have dinner with the president? I will take up that offer to do so."

According to Politico, both Obama and Palin will address the crowd.

She'll be pallin' around with some who was pallin' around with terrarists. I hope Obama speaks last. People won't be able to drive after she scrambles their brains with her syntax.

9. It's just her "Stream of Unconsciousness"
She tried reading James Joyce but it wasn't about her so she went to sleep.

26. Fantastic!
My wife is a stream of consciousness speaker. I call her James Joyce all the time, and she knows it, understands it, and is ok with it.

Sara, on the other hand, wouldn't even know who Joyce was.

28. (grin) Those of us who 'speak our minds' with candor, in 'real time,' ...
... appreciate the difference. (I send my greetings to your Molly Bloom.) :hi:

It's not so much that Sara is speaking her mind as it is that she's spewing verbal crap and then, like a cat in a litter box, kicks random bits of verbal sand and dried crap all over it.

31. When I read anything Palin has said,
I find that it is sooooooo much easier to understand ee cummings.
After I read anything she said or hear her speak, I get out my
volume of ee cummings poems to staighten my mind out. Joyce would
work too.

4. "...impromptu meeting with reporters Wednesday outside the governor's mansion..."
Nothing this woman does with the press is "impromptu."

She needs to go away, but since she won't do that gracefully, the press needs to start ignoring her.

7. Couple questions - do Alaska taxpayers pay for this little junket?
And will she be put on the 'no-fly' list for associating with terrists? (per her assessment of Obama).
BTW is this dinner named after Alfalfa from the 'Our Gang' comedies?

There's more to this DC junket than attending the dinner. She's meeting with her money man. I think the Neocons are pumping her up and the religious nuts.

17. Sarah get that fuel/food disaster fixed for her Native constituents yet?
Since Palin will once again be in the spotlight, THIS subject should be in her face and in the spotlight also.
Merge her disaster as Gov with her dance across the National stage.
What's she done about this issue in her home state lately? Hoping for an early spring so it goes away by itself?

-----------
I also wonder who is doing Palin's promo work for her.
Cripes sake she is like an untreatable disease.

21. God...I hope they don't pick her and ask her to make a speech...
From Wikipedia on the Alfalfa Club.......

One of the evening's activities includes the playful nomination of a presidential candidate by the Club's leadership. The candidate is then required to make a speech.

25. If she absolutely won't go away then let's hope they do pick her
The more the public has to listen to her horrible screeching tone of voice and point-missing verbal eruptions the more it'll feel like fingernails on a blackboard.

23. I hope she has to say the words, "Mr. President"
And when she talks to Joe Biden, I hope she has to say, "Mr. Vice President"

We know for sure that she'll mangle whatever she says.

there must be some syndrome, some brain malfunction or deterioration or some synaptic back firing and disequilibrium in people like Bush and Palin's brains because they just aren't human.

Wonder if she'll address her concerns about that with him?
