You recently stated you hope Obama fails, and this has left me puzzeled. Why do you hope Obama fails?

We are in the midst of disasters on all fronts - foreign and domestic, and these disasters effect us all - even you.

If Obama fails - we all fail (including you and your listeners).

Your job as a radio personality depends on having a place for your show. In your case, it's the radio. Radio, like other media, depend on advertisers buying airtime. This is how the media makes it money, money that trickles down to pay your salary. You may or may not have noticed that many media outlets now have a flood of commercials featuring products such as "sham-Wow" during Prime Time slots. Previously, these types of ads would only be affordable during the wee-hours of the morning - however, because our economy is failing, many Big Companies are trimming their ad buys to the bone. To fill the available ad slots, media outlets have cut the fees for ad placement, and this will result in a reduction of income for the media.

If the media earns less money, they will eventually have to look at the shows on their lineup and make drastic changes. It could mean your show being cut back or canceled from the various radio stations.

Your listeners are not immune to the failing economy. As they lose their jobs, or suffer related monetary hardships - they too will cut back on what they are buying. This will translate to lower sales for your sponsers, who may pull their ads (and money).

You can yell, shout, jiggle around in your chair, shake your fist at the microphone and rally your troops to embrace failure - we are all in the same boat. If that boat sinks, we all go down with it.

that said, in January 2001, that they hoped that Bush would be a failure.

I could really stack the deck (but I wouldn't have to) by saying that he would have to find a lefty with a major radio contract reaching millions of listeners every day for three hours a day who wished that Bush would fail.

Bush, with his Christian fanatic following, didn't lose Howard Stern until Bush's FCC went after him because Janet Jackson's nipple was on TV for .000001th of a second ...

3. I'd rather have a gentle turn towards natural

healthcare than a a Rush on drugs. In many ways it is a cheaper option when and where it works.

one of our local AM radio stations has dropped him and a few other rabid-radioheads from their schedule. They replaced those shows with local rabid-radioheads for waaaaaaaaay less money than they were paying for rush (et al) shows

He thinks he is all safe and sound and has everything shipped in.
It's food has to be grown, cared for, harvested, prepared to feed his fat self somewhere else. That goes for the drugs he imbibes etc.

I used to run a sales route up and down South Florida and there were parts of western Palm Beach county that the only station was the one he spews through.
I could only take a little then wanted to stop the car and bath in the swamps, gators and all.
