Guess what congressman Chris Matthews was talking about.
They're killing air time. The topic of "Hussein" comes up. Matthews sez, "I once spoke to a sort of doofus congressman a few years ago who said 'no one with the middle name of Hussein or the last name of Guiliani will ever get votes in Iowa."

I'm betting it was Scarborough.

1. Nope, it's a current Congressman, his last name is King, can't think of his first name right now.

I'm sure someone else will chime in with it. In any case, this same guy -- Rep. King -- just made another totally outrageous statement a couple of days ago. He's still at it.

On edit: He's the Congressman from Iowa's 5th district, that's why he said Obama couldn't get elected in Iowa.

4. The 5th is a very conservative district.
It's a rwing breeding ground as evidenced by King. Think of the most conservative area in the South and the 5th district would not be far behind if at all.
