Stephanopoulos round table: Gingrich, Noonan, Will and Friedman. WTF?
Three wingnuts and our own "Baghdad Bob," Thom Friedman. Did every progressive in the world leave town for the weekend? Has ABC been bought by Rupert Murdoch? Does someone have photos of Stephanopoulos at a KKK orgy?

What the hell kind of panel is this? Once I saw who was on, I pulled the plug. No way I was about to watch this particular propaganda fest.

If anyone had the stomach to watch it, please let us know if it was even worse than I expected.

3. I thought that Friedman did a good job.
He proposed what may be the only near term solution in Gaza and the West Bank. Get the Israelis out and install outside supervision of the Palestinians. As long as Israel remains an occupier, there will not be any peace.

7. My reaction exactly, but I watched it anyway.
They basically took turns reiterating tired RW cliches re. ME.

Gingrich, I believe, broke new ground: acknowledged that Israel would NEVER allow Palestinian state... ever... despite all the double talk to the contrary. And SHOULDN'T.

The rest bobbed their talking heads, literally or otherwise. Then McLoughlin group came on and I switched. Occasionally a fresh POV or idea will emerge from that squalling ratpack. And if not, at least they have fun.

9. They couldn't attack without the help of the MSM
But this morning's Stephanopoulos circus was more than MSM help. It was an all-out assault on reality. The first half hour was Stephanopoulos using an anal probe to "interview" Obama. If he'd interrogated Cheney this way, he'd be in Gitmo.

And then, to follow up the Obama "interview," he serves up a platter of wingnut stew.

This crap will continue until the corporate owners of the media realize that there will be a price to pay for their propaganda. And it is we who must exact that price.

The Disney Company owns ABC, (which includes Stephanopoulos & Co.), GE owns NBC, and Viacom owns CBS. Almost every other TV outlet is owned by Time-Warner, or Rupert Murdoch.

I don't know how effective boycotts are. But I do know that until we reclaim the public airways by ripping them from the bloody claws of these pricks, we will continue to be screwed.

16. I'll Quibble With You About One Of Them.

Peggy Noonan has all the intellectual capabilities of a stalk of celery. Calling her merely "stupid" is complimentary.....

12. "By invitation" television rarely skews anything but right to far-right
Last fall there was a panel that was sooooo right, that BILL BENNET was the one reflecting the "on-the-left" viewpoint..

17. I nearly lost my breakfast
and renewed my vow NOT to get a converter box. I may make a note of specific advertisers and tell them I'll be boycotting them along with the rw propoganda they fund.

I've given up on McGloughlin Group too. Initially, when Monica the mouth joined, it became extremely annoying the way they let her monopolize the half hour.

Now it seems as though they've struck a truce and others are allowed to talk. In exchange, however, McGlaughlin dribbles and drools all over Monica-baby. :puke: I'm done. Happily, don't know about the rest of the country, but Maine's PBS switched to digital today. So McGlaughlin is done in my home.
