Even when the change you voted for is incremental rather than revolutionary, you DO NOT stop thinking big.

Even when the divide between people seems too large to bridge, you DO NOT stop extending a hand to those not beyond rescue.

Even when American Idol and missing blondes distract the public mind, you DO NOT stop aiming for higher and better values.

Even when it means you don't keep up with the Joneses, you DO NOT cave in to consumerism.

Even when all hope seems lost, you DO NOT despair.
