39. She was one of the nuttiest of the nutjobs that appeared on a reality show
called Trading Spouses. She is so hilarious her breakdowns went viral. She was traded with a spouse that was into New Age stuff if I remember, and she was a die hard true believer. Fireworks ensued. You will laugh your ass off if you haven't seen it:

The Camp people, that it was just a way to make money. When she is going around looking for props in the toy store, that seemed a bit much, like she was stretching.

The movie is a must see and to put the icing on the cake Ted Haggert fell after
the movie came out and then the close association to Palin's church was revealed this
summer.

I came in late and didn't see the beginning.

Also, are they related to Palin and Warren's Dominionists?

37. Sarah Palin's Church tied to Jesus Camp- Both are a branch of Pentecostal
Palin’s church is deeply involved with Morning Star Ministry, who like Fresh Fire Ministry, is devoted to promoting the Dominionist message. Morningstar is a major force in the Third Wave movement and its founder, Rick Joyner, is a prolific author of Third Wave and Manifest Sons of God theology. Joyner’s books are available around the world, and Morningstar purchased part of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker's Heritage Park for their headquarters and conference center. Becky Fischer, whose ministry was featured in the movie Jesus Camp, was a pastor for Morningstar before apparently feeling the “call” to start her own ministry.

The students of the Master's Commission program at Wasilla have visited Morningstar and feature pictures of the visit on their web site. Some of the events at Morningstar were included in the first video, and include such memorable moments as calling for Jesus to come down from a third floor, lots of jabbering and talking in tongues, and a cell phone anointing ceremony. You can see these rather creepy activities in this video.

Third Wave Joel's Army believers are hard-core Christian dominionists, meaning they believe that America, along with the rest of the world, should be governed by conservative Christians, and ruled by a conservative Christian interpretation of biblical law. There is no room for democracy or pluralism in the doctrine of Joel’s Army dogma, just theocracy.

36. I saw the movie right before it
came out - I had a disc sent out for pre-viewing.

No one could understand how crazy that movie is when I would describe it- You must see the people, the expressions. You must hear the scary weirdness that is Jesus Camp.

It is the reality of how fucked up religion is.

41. Chilling is the only word. Like a Christian Taliban.
The female pastor makes the point that they're training little warriors to blow themselves up in the middle east, so she's got to get little ones over here to go to war for Jesus. She added, 'of course, our side has the Truth.' Famous last words.

There was some unintentional hilarity as well though, it wasn't all grim. Like when this same pastor started praying for the electricity to keep working and the microphones to work when she needed them and for the Microsoft software to not crash. I'm thinking, yeah, maybe getting technicians would be a better idea. Of course, with Microsoft, it never hurts to pray.

Also, when the boys were scaring each other late at night and the counselor busts in saying 'I'm not fond of ghost stories'. They were having so much genuine fun, too. It reminded me of when Reverend Lovejoy was counseling Ned Flanders with one of his many issues and said 'Oh Ned, everything's a sin. Have you actually read this thing? Technically, we're not allowed to go the bathroom.'
