If it was,,then Obama was given coverage at that event with MC Cain to
.... people that he never would have been seen him/listened to him otherwise. That kind of coverage to evangelicals changed many minds.
Yes, some of those did indeed vote for Obama..a lot of them..

..This is just a pay back for that coverage.. kinda..a thank you for helping me..(even if you didn't intend to)..
..that is why I think he was chosen.

1. The Saddleback Forum? Yes, it's the same guy.
Yes. And Warren got his questions in about being pro-life and how wrong same-sex marriage is. And yes, Obama had to, again, state his opposition to same-sex marriage.

3. And don't forget the dust up over McCain getting the questions ahead of time.
Yup, Warren is a great friend to Obama.

:sarcasm:

5. True, Obama had to defend himself..over and over..but.
his defense, as almost all of his campaign was reasoned and intelligent. His appearance there was, I think, important because his reasoned approach was far different than Mc Cain's. Sure most didn't pay much attention. But my guess is that a huge number did indeed listen. It is impossible not to be impressed by Obama's honest, decent way of listening and responding. I think that exposure really helped in certain parts of the country. You know, that guy isn't so bad, many thought.

2. It was good coverage for Obama - and he came across as more sincere than McCain
even to Warren.

4. The one where McCain was in a "cone of silence" that turned out
to be a lie? Yeah, that's the one.

6. Warren is a war monger.
Edited on Thu Dec-18-08 09:17 AM by higher class
I'm in trouble because I can't give war mongering people an inch.

Whether Warren wars against gblt or infidels or promotes war, letting him be involved is a tragedy.

He colluded with Republicans in setting up his spectacle.

I'm in trouble because I don't think war mongering is inspriational.

It's time for this country to wake up. And I thought this was the start.

I guess I'm a war monger against war mongers and I detest the corner my own people place me in.

I could pray or I could tell it like it is for me.

I really think they should can him. Isn't there some peace seeking person who could speak?

7. Warren punked Obama by lying about McCain not hearing the questions

beforehand. I'm surprised, for a number of reasons, that Obama wants to reward this creep.

8. And he was blatantly biased towards McCain,
even allowing McCain to hear the questions beforehand. He held a political debate in his huge mega-church, mixing church & state in a flagrant way. And his crowd of conservative evang. was stacked to applaud McCain & dislike Obama. He gets a thank you for that?
