Grassroots organizations and an angry majority of Americans turned things completely around by electing the first Black Man for prez. Even if the democratic nominee had been someone else, the accomplishment would still have been great, but the kind of new thrill about politics was due in a large part to the brilliance of Howard Dean. He instilled in us all a sense that government can't solve everything, that we've got to organize and do it for ourselves. The time has come for some new thinking, some new innovative ideas to help all our communities to build income from projects that serve all. We might be able to save ourselves.
