Weather watchers...interesting example of thermal influence of Lake Michigan
on late fall weather around it this morning...

DU is large enough to always have someone take exception to everything.

I was just acknowledging that other posts I made linking to this site have recieved such treatment.


But I do think this morning's precip map is good enough to be a classroom example. The shape Lake Michigan is almost perfectly reflected in the shift from snow to rain.

9. Actually, the fingerprint of lake temp on the tranistion from snow to rain
is what I was thinking was interesting.
