2. There are a bunch of them.
Hard pressed to find a state that didn't have at least one.

3. Even an ordinary B&B will cater to a veg if asked
Many B&Bs that aren't "vegetarian B&Bs" will still prepare vegetarian meals on request. Often, they find it a challenge to prepare a delicious meal without meat to guests who request it. The only trick is to call them up at reservation time and make a request -- that way they have time to get alternate ingredients or do a little research.

5. Aaah, sounds easy enough. I need to go off some place relaxing after all the 08 Election stress
I'm going to make it a B&B this time.

There's a Buddhist Monastery nearby, to the north in Furnace Ky, just
south of Clay City Ky.

To the east of Clay City is Natural Bridge State Park.

25. It will probably smell wonderful. There is the smell of the natural
surroundings, the flowers she's planted, and the breakfast she cooks.

7. To me this sounds like a Hansel and Gretel type ploy
to lure the vegetarians to the Kentucky wilderness, never to be seen again.

omnis DO tend to favor eating herbivores.

We need to stay crafty and fast!

11. You can stand behind me, flvegan.
I'll warn you if I spot a gingerbread house, and if we get attacked from the rear, well, I'm still crafty and fast.

10. Oh wow, this is close by to me!
I live about an hour and a half from this place - much of that travel time due to winding roads rather than strict distance. I think I will have to check it out, it sounds beautiful. Sadly, fall foliage is past peak, but next year...

13. I live up in Lexington. It would be a good day trip. There's also a
four star restaurant somewhere nearby. It's in the basement of a antique store/museum.

20. One of my favorite places. I need to run down for yet another Orhan Pamuk
title. I'm running out. Need a refill. Maybe I will feed the ducks. I don't know, I might just wander around looking for inspiration.

You know that Mayor Newberry likes to drop acid and then ride your escalators all day?

Not really, but it might do him some good.

I hope things get really crazy this year. Books are a good inexpensive gift. Maybe that will be what a lot of people will think this Christmas.

I remember when it first opened, it was a "singles" bookstore. I always though the concept of looking for action at a bookstore was refreshing. The old store had a better atmosphere and layout for a social scene. It used to be packed with UK students. My wife sang there at least once. Still its one of the hippest places to go that doesn't sell liquor.

BTW, what do they have you doing there?

But I don't think I can make it a single night without my meat bed.

22. I just thought it a pretty place, and the lady who owns it seems to have
it all together. They did a spot on it on our public TV station. I was watching the show because they featured a friend's florist in one of the stories.

23. It's worth it to get out of the flatlands and into the embrace of the forested
hills of Appalachia. Anywhere along that mountain chain you can find little bits of paradise.
