C-Span Caller, Carefully Says "Democrat Party"
Took his time, and made sure it was clear and easy to hear. Fuck him. I'm just posting this to document the repukes childishness. Sounds like a 6-year old on a playground, & I'd know.

1. My Daddy Used To Say...
"If they get you mad, they've won."

Life's too short to get pissed off over this stuff.

moniker and, in return, give the Republican Party a new name. How about the Lican Party? After all, they like their Pres. Lican a lot.

3. Nothing But Repugnican Callers Again...
Seems like a regular "feature" now to trying to prop up this regime with their selection of topics, guests and things like this. I can't remember the last time they did an hour of Democratic calls.

I have to admit, I'm getting a laugh out of how many are going after Hagel like many Democrats go after Liebermann. The divisions in the Repugnican party is getting bigger by the day...glad to see C-SPAN is helping that process.

Now ya think they're gonna do anything on the Plame trial? <crickets>

Edit: Marcy Wheeler, who I think is emptywheel. Am I wrong about that?

4. We need to get over it ...
I'm starting to become annoyed at everyone who points out a freeper saying "democrat" party.

Why the fuck give them that power? Who the fuck cares what they think or say? We've got issues to work on. If they want to call us the Donkey Balls party, so be it. It changes nothing. NOTHING is changed by the way they wish to name the Democratic Party.

Don't give them that power.

6. I'm not that annoyed,
Noting those folks that who use the term "Democrat" instead of "Democratic" is simply listing the increasing "dumbing down" of the freepers. It's a way to track these people's devolution back to political caveman days.

8. passive aggressive: they are wanting us to publicly call them on it so WE
can look petty.

That's their plan, anyhow.

Or, its not really a plan so much as codespeech, like complaining about affirmative action really means "I'm a good old boy white sheet brethren. Vote for me if you want us crackerheads to stay in power".

7. He who controls the vocabulary
controls the debate. When a wingnut refers to the "Democrat Party," one should politely but firmly point out the official name is the "Democratic Party" and then change the subject to what you want to talk about. If they persist, calmly state you refuse to talk to someone who childishly resorts to name calling, then excuse yourself and walk away.

10. Thom Hartmann does this to good effect
He never lets someone he's debating get away with it, he politely insists that they use the correct name of the party, and damned if they don't seem kind of embarrassed.

11. Better tactic.
Simply tell them that you refuse to discuss "politics" with someone so ill-informed as to not know the correct pronunciation of one of the two major, long standing, political parties in the U.S.

If they are too dumb to know that, then their opinions are worthless.
