Remember that this candidate wasn't some lunatic cutout pushed forward by a fringe party. This was the vice presidential candidate for the Republican party, which was running the oldest candidate ever for a first term presidency. That alone is shameful on its face, even if McCain never really stood a chance.

But who in the media knew all this tittle-tattle about Palin while the issue was still in doubt? Who knew she would be a feeble 72-year-old man's heartbeat away from sitting in the Oval Office, and that she was such a ninny? And who knew this and didn't think it important enough to share with the American people because they'd made some cockamamie "off the record" promise to the people inside who knew? Did any of these so-called journalists press their sources to go on the record? This is really not just some cocktail party game where somebody winds up looking foolish; this is the fucking running of our country and people's lives are at stake.
