Oh yes, I resoundingly voted for Obama, at 7:07. Right after the precinct opened.
Only 20 or so people in line. Then called my brother. He showed up right away. Got in so quick, he was in the booth next to me. Got a call from sister 45 minutes later: "How was it?". I'm like, "Go right away, it's a piece of cake." She's like "OK".

Then I talked to my mom. "This might be your last chance to vote (she was skeptical and also 76)". She's like, "Check the precinct, cause I might not be able to handle the long lines". I'm like, "There are no lines at all, you need to go, I'll be right over".

And we all got to vote for Barack, and I'm sure my Dad was with us. He died a year ago but I know this is what he would've have wanted. It's what we all have wanted. I feel as good as I have in years. Imagine that, a family of 5 all on the same page about politics, if nothing else.

Just wanted to share this experience for my 400th post. It will blend in with thousands of others on this truely historic and overwhelming day. Can't tell you how many times I've teared up today over one thing or another. I'm just so happy and humbled by it all.

1. Glad you had the joy of seeing your family vote Obama
My family did too--though we all voted early.

2. We're all in our 50's. Not sure what the future holds. Now is the time to try.
And I'm feeling so fortunate.
