11. Haven't we learned anything from history? Of course the election could
be lost due to fraud and vote purging, just as it was lost in 2004.

Just as Max Cleland lost after an unbelievable 12 point swing in one day.

This isn't over till it's over. And no one should be complacent.

5. Anything can happen...
But be comforted in the fact that so many of our voters are heading to the polls early in order to make sure their vote will count...

This time is different...

This time we have a star with the wind of history at his back...

Give every possible on the cusp state to mccain (they are the orangish ones and include Ohio and Florida). See what happens.

21. Five words - Obama doesn't believe in losing.
At this point in 2004, the polls were tight, hovering around 51% TO 48% in favor of Bush. Right now, Obama has anywhere around a 10% lead. Look at these:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/bush_vs_kerry_sbys.html

All early voting has him with a 10% lead. From all reports, his ground game far surpasses MCCain, 4000 offices throughout the country, excitement among the workers.

I saw a post here earlier about how Obama's legal team is all over the legal aspects of Tuesday, and far superior to what Kerry had in 2004.

GOTV!!

Worst case scenario, as fantastic and as brazen as it may be, will STILL wind up with McCain on the losing end.

40. YES YES YES He could still lose this.
I am sick, as in my bowels are moving feeling like throwing up sick sick sick. Remember 2000? How about 2004? I am too afraid to think that Obama could actually win this. Every time I pause to daydream about Nov 4 and a Obama victory I am immediately confronted with the possibility of defeat and just how crushing a blow it would be.

Sorry, I know you want to be talked down but I am FREAKING too.

Tell everyone you know to vote, email, call, offer to drive them to the polls, anything and everything to defeat complacency. VOTE VOTE VOTE.

Time for a drink. Ohhhh, hope that helped.....

The odds appear to favour Obama, but there's still plenty of time for Murphy's Law to kick in.
