he looks like he's a lot trimmer than he did the last time I saw him. Think how much better off this country would be if Obama was running to succeed Gore after Gore's run of eight years in the presidency. Sad what we have missed...

4. I love Al, but would he have ditched Joe by now were he to have taken Office?
As much as I love Al Gore these days, that question has bothered me for a while.

He picked Joe in 1999.

Gore/Lieberman won that contest, meaning Joe would have been veep.

Under what circumstances might we find ourselves today about to elect a President Obama? Isn't it far more likely that we would be pissing in our beer that McCain was sliming Joe so bad that McCain was up by 10 or 12 points a few days out?
