I'm in red, rural Texas and I'm seeing about 5 Obama signs/stickers to every 1 Mccain. Either something is stirring, or the Mccain people don't want to advertise who they're voting for.

Hey, I can dream!! :D

Turn Texas Blue!

1. We will be surprised by how well he does in some places.
We will call it "The Obama Effect". Obama will outperform the polls, and give us something to talk about.

2. I agree. I think that even in
a lot of traditionally red states, it will be a lot closer than people think.

3. No matter how red your state is.
If all the Obama supporters vote, we are really going to send a message.
And who knows, maybe even Texas will go to Obama!

Do not let the polling discourage you and your fiends and neighbors from voting! Shout it out loud!

Georgia is competitive for O
I live in Georgia and recent polls show not only that Obama is competitive here and is pouring resources back into the state but the Senate race between Jim Martin and scum-bag Saxby Chambliss is too close to call. I never thought in my lifetime I would see a Democrat, let alone a black man competitive and within reach of turning this state blue. I am really energized about the Senate race because Chambliss smeared a true hero, Max Cleland, in the 2002 race. Here you had a Vietnam war vet that gave 3 limbs for his country and Chambliss, a draft dodger, had the audacity to call him everything but a traitor and terrorist. I would love to wipe the sick smirk off Chamblss' face as he goes back under the rock from which he came.

An editorial comment....what's up with these southern men and their first names? Newt (lizard) Gingrich, Saxby (huh) Chambliss, Zell (loser) Miller...

13. So do I...if only ONE incumbent could be defeated, I'd want it to be ol' Saxby
He is truly the lowest of the low (even worse than ol' sorry-ass Z*ll M*ller, the rotten traitor).

6. I live in Texas also, and there are lots of Obama signs in
the yards around town and very few McCain signs. In yards where the people I know normally vote Repub. have all of their repub signs in their yards, but have no signs supporting a president. I believe they are going to vote for Obama or they would have their repug sign up like they usually do. I sure wish Texas would show something and if my county went dem, OH WOW

9. It would be FANTASTIC! I can't believe the polls I've seen that show McPalin
up by 10 points here. I see many more Obama signs than mcpain ones.

I really think it's closer than the polls are showing and if the repugs especially in the rural areas stay home if it looks like there's no chance mcpalin can win, there is a real good chance our 34 electoral votes will go for Obama. In 2006 in Dallas county, every Repub running lost including every republican judge.

11. Indiana going blue
I just returned from voting and had to wait in line for 45 minutes to cast my ballot.(That is the only line I never bitch about waiting in.) The young lady working the polls stated it had been lined up like that since the doors opened at 9AM. This was about an hour before the polls were scheduled to close and people were still streaming in. Lots of younger people as well as a bunch of us old farts. Based on the conversations I took part of and overheard the it was an overwhelmingly Obama crowd. It truly did this heart good.

15. I'd be perfectly happy with Obama 270, McCain 268.
The place where margins really matter will be the Senate and Congress.

16. Presidential margins matter
It's harder for a party to recover from a shellacking, donations dry up and internecine fighting can derail unity. And the larger the margin, the more credibility a President has for claiming a popular "mandate" for his/her agenda.

18. Personally I would like it if Obama got everything while McCain only takes AK, AZ, and UT.
That would be divine justice.
