Wolfie just said that some evangelical minister was going to launch the battle over homosexuality by focusing on the "womb" and it may very well be "the next battleground." What was that myth where the women cut the men off and raised hell until war ended? Well, it's way past time to shut Testosterone World down. Dammit, I don't own your dangly part nor do I lay claim to it. You don't own my innards. Stay out of them unless I invite you. And do not freaking do battle in them nor send the fruit of them to do war either.

2. Thanks.
I just couldn't retrieve the name.

We need ourselves a Lysistrata movement.

4. Gay babies
Well, I can tell you as the mother of a "gay baby", I will do anything anybody wants to fight these BIGOTS. No, I would not have taken any tests, any pills, or for that matter, put her in any treatment center, to change her.

As far as the "Smile, your mother was Pro Life" people, I just want to SLAP THEM. I CHOOSE to have two children, at that particular time. I CHOOSE to have none BEFORE, nor none AFTER.

These people are totally clueless and if they attempt to proceed with their agenda, they will be in store for a very rude awakening. You would think they would see the writing on the wall for all the support among their own for Pro Choice, Pro Gay Rights, Republican Rudy Giuliani, as much as I personally dislike the man.

Apparently, not.

6. Darn tootin' sister! "The pregnancy police are watching you"
In the US, women of child-bearing age are being advised to consider themselves 'pre-pregnant' at all times, by giving up smoking, drinking and drugs. What are the implications of treating people as glorified incubators, asks Diane Taylor

<snip>

New federal guidelines issued this year ask any woman capable of conceiving to treat themselves - and to be treated by their health-care provider - as "pre-pregnant" at all times. Women between their first menstrual period and the menopause are told to take folic acid supplements, stop smoking, stop drinking regularly, maintain a healthy weight and keep chronic conditions such as asthma and diabetes under control; not primarily for their own health but to protect any baby that they may or may not be planning to have. They're also advised to steer clear of lead-based paint and cat faeces - a problem for any "pre-pregnant" folk whose household chores include cleaning the litter tray. There is no mention of "pre- fertilisers", ie, fathers, taking similar steps to ensure their sperm are healthy, despite studies that suggest male alcoholism can cause birth defects in children.
